Date: 2006-01-23 10:24 am (UTC)Um... radical continuities? Shouldn't that say radical discontinuities? The sentence starts out by explaining how China's civilization was continuous, after all. Or is there a difference between 'continued' and 'radical continuity' I'm not getting?
