Afternoon standup / angst
Oct. 16th, 2023 02:07 pmMy immediate team does two standups a day...
A) morning standup with the devs, the product manager/designer, QA, CIO and CTO (that's just 7 people :P)
B) Afternoon standup: both front-end devs with our QA.
This afternoon:
1) Start the meeting in Teams. Wait... wait... No one is logging in the meeting.
2) Thinking, Fuck, I'm getting fired.
3) Notice that I'm still in the meeting preview where you choose your camera/mic settings.
4) Join my waiting coworkers in the meeting...
Some of my QBC coworkers are in town for some trade show or something this week, and I have 2-3 coworkers in the city already, so they've decided to rent some office space for us to work together. I'm going in on Wednesday/Thursday. That should be good. I'm actually thinking of renting a hot desk somewhere to regularly get myself out of home. At my old haunting grounds, the Center for Social Innovation, maybe...
