talking about Alcan and flooding while hiking to not-golden-ears, after we finally finished walking up the access road but before getting to the lake. we exchange a series of strange facial expressions in between critical statements about ecosystem destruction. you are looking for the right word to say something about hydro-quebec. "Voyons, leuh!" (I think at the time that this is a brilliant expression and I still say it even in the middle of english conversations when I can't think of the right word.) I point out a shelf fungus and make you guess how old it is. We consult the map and we are not even at trailhead yet.

Hahaha. That was such a fucked up film. I thought about this recently as well!!

I remember the setting of alcan conversation although I had long forgotten about it. =)
