So huh, I know the whole series has been Avengers-level superheroism, in a fairly stark break from classic Trek, but the first episodes of this season really got on my nerves, and for some reason, I'm DONE with the way-too-juicy, way-too-fat double-deep-fried sound FX. Episode 1 in particular was a little too much "hey look at this /even more futuristic tech/!" Cool SFX, but that's not why we watch Star Trek, man.
Then we get to Episode 4, and huh, wow! The SFX mostly disappears and suddenly we have a very personal episode.
Alright, I've just discovered that there's a thing named Star Trek: Trek Shorts and that I've missed 9 episodes... brb.
