(this worked to very interesting results on [livejournal.com profile] accusehistory... maybe it won't work as well here since I selfishly don't share my own secrets on this journal, but hey, let's have a try!)

TELL ME A SECRET

1) Post anonymously, I have no way of knowing who it is, IP logging is off.
2) Tell me anything you wish, it can be directed at me or it can be completely random or just something you need or want to get off your chest. Silly or serious.

I guess this mostly news-linking LJ doesn't attract enough of an interesting audience, and there's tabnet for the others. Oh well. Screw you ;]

Man, I feel like I missed on your trick before. Not that I know who you are. Anyway, I didn't say share ALL of your secrets... :]

Say what?

Anyway, you realize that the above post is a movie quote, right?

(No, I'm not the Anonymous that posted it.)

I didn't realize that it was a movie quote, but "too many secrets" is hardly a distinctive phrase. Which film, anyway?

As for trick, it's just that my livejournal has a black background, and this text was written as black as well, so I thought that the intent was meant for the text to be invisible, further accentuating the secretiveness of it. However I realized that the person who posted this probably has a different background colour and didn't mean it this way.

Ahhh. Heh. I set my LJ so I see all comments with a white background, so I totally missed that.

Sneakers

There's a roughly 10-minute scene while they're trying to decipher an anagram, which turns out to be: TOO MANY SECRETS (a phrase which is later repeated several times throughout the film).

I take it you've never seen the movie: if you had, it's a pretty memorable association. I'm hard-pressed to initially associate the phrase with anything other than that film.

That userpic is mesmerizing.

Man, that was a long time ago. I've seen Sneakers, but I think I saw the dubbed version, before I moved to Vancouver and actually started thinking in English. So even understanding and seeing the sentence multiple times, that would not necessarily carve it into my memory :]
