61 children die, 129 injured in Sri Lanka Army attack on orphanage, but the world is silent. This attack is probably worse (or anyway, is about as bad as) any single attack during the Israel/Lebanon war, but there's almost absolute radio silence on the conflict. There's something like 200,000 tamils in Toronto, so it's not like "no one cares" or anything.
Speaking of the Israel/Lebanon war, it seems that the cease-fire is holding. tomscud on 'aqoul did a round of the blogger coverage of the ceasefire agreement and most seem to think that Hezbollah has won more than Israel did in the process. The Lebanese are sadly the great losers, whichever side won.
