okay, far too much procrastination.  I can't pull off an 8 page paper in 2 or 3 hours like I could for a 4-page paper...

I think next time I see a 400-page letter-size small-font course kit (for the first semester of the course), I'll drop the course right off the bat.  That'll save me the trouble of showing up to class.

Just wait until it's a 20 page paper. 8 pages is easy-breezy!

I know!! Anyway, as I was expecting, enough people (not me though) complained, and the paper has been delayed a week. However there will be absolutely no other extensions. I think I like hardcore deadlines better. They get me working.

I kind of agree, but experience shows that I can only handle one of three classes being of the hardcore-deadline variety. This is ideal because while I'm forcing myself to write the absolutely-must-be-written paper, I use all the mental-distraction-time to think about the other two papers that are theoretically due simultaneously, but will actually be 'due' several weeks later.
