Okay, I withdraw my words. I wish the sax player outside would go away already. He's pretty bad, his playing is very mechanical.

I went to see Wozzeck, an opera by Alan Berg with atonal music last night. It was pretty good. It was rather comedic. The story was about a soldier that gets picked on by pretty much everyone. It was in German, but the COC* has supertitles so you can read the translation overhead. We got last minute student-discount tickets so we were seated in the balcony, much higher than the already high supertitles.

So I mentioned the atonal music, but as I am absolutely musically illiterate, that did not mean much to me, except that I liked the music anyway. Then F got some of her atonal music tapes that we played in her car while she was returning videos later on, so I kinda got the point, but the music at the Opera seemed a lot more err, tonal, to me. Anyway.

* Notice how Toronto doesn't have a "Toronto Opera Company", but the "Canadian Opera Company"? Le nombrilisme persiste et signe.

We have drummers across the street. They aren't very good. Soon, I will have no option but to burn their house down.
