Can you please explain your attraction to this music? I haven't found M.I.A. to be anything but awful. But I'm open to argument.

I love steeldrums. Her music, to me, has a certain reggaeness to it, a certain jamaicanness that reminds me of the score for Monkey Island. But that's just a tiny part. I've grown to love the south asian twang thing and she delivers it in spades. I haven't examined the lyrics a lot yet, but I see some good politics peeking through. Hmmm. That's it for starters.
