standing/stand-up desk

As far as I'm concerned, that's just a tall desk. The screen is waaaaayyyy further down than it should be at.
Since I'm moving, I'm consider junking my two current desks and office chair, and moving upwards instead. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience working from a standing desk?
*** ETA: I think I'll experiment with an Ikea pine shelf unit first, adjusting the shelves for the monitor and keyboard, and then seeing how that works out for me for a month. If I still want a standing desk then, I'll look around to see if I want to buy or build a larger unit.
