The Hundred Years War on Palestine. I've now put a new hold on it. Give someone else a chance. :P. (I mean they have 29 copies, but the hold line is 5 times that)
Book I mean to start on:
East Jerusalem Noir. This is for a radical book club that's starting next door to me, but it looks like I'm the only one who has borrowed one of the library's 8 copies, so... We'll see.

Date: 2024-10-23 05:55 pm (UTC)I may get it back eventually, but I'm not going to put a hold on it right away - it's 565 pages long, and whoever's getting it next might have trouble reading all that in a mere 21 days. (I wouldn't - my problem is that I was on page 36 or so when I found out I had only 4 more days with the book.)
I made it to page 222 before I decided to give up speed reading it. By then I'd decided that the book was merely OK, not especially good.
I still haven't read The Hundred Years War on Palestine, but it's on my overgrown list of books I'd like to read.
