A friend is now in remission from cancer, after numerous treatments, including experimental ones. It's so cool. And now his hair grows wavy, as opposed to his previous straight hair, and he looks like an aging rock star, in the good way.

Date: 2022-05-11 08:45 pm (UTC)I'm definitely in the Fuck Cancer camp. Both of my in-laws lost to it, my F-I-L about two weeks after my wife and I wed, but we knew it was going to happen. He was in good shape to attend the wedding, that was the important bit. Too many friends and acquaintances, and I spent an hour today talking to my sister and wife about my dad beginning to lose the fight with leukemia. He's 88 and lost my mom last September at 90, I think he's ready to go.
Definitely Fuck Cancer.
