frandroidSOOOO weird. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) has been putting on what's Europe's largest free music festival, Donauinselfest (literally, festival on the Danube Island) since 1984. Cool. What's funny to see is that it's mega-corporatized, with sponsors all over the place. Now I understand that you don't organize a free festival without some massive injection of cash from somewhere, and even publicly supported festivals in Canada have sponsors all over the place, but it's amusing that this is specifically coming from a social-democratic party.
