Does anyone know if there are location-based social networking sites? Like, by neighbourhood? By street?  I mean who knows their neighbours in a large city nowadays? Sometimes a school needs this, a neighbour needs that, and someone close is just dying to get rid of their old stuff, if only they had known their neighbour down the block needed this exact thing. Carpooling.  This kind of thing.
