
I had this smoothie at Fresh as much as I could, even though it was on the "forbidden" list. I just tried to make up the quantities from the known ingredients.
Blueberry Thrills
1 banana
1 cup blueberries
1/2 teaspoon spirulina
soymilk to cover everything in the blender
Makes two tall glasses
This was very tasty, although not quite as tasty as when I had it at Fresh. I think if you add more blueberries, you can add more spirulina, which work very well together. Maybe a little bit less banana, too. I'll tweak it and see what happens. F said that it felt like a decadent drink, and it certainly is. If you eat at Fresh in Toronto, definitely go for the "power drinks"; you can have the cheaper smoothies, but it's better to pay an arm and a leg for a luxury drink that you probably can't make at home than pay an arm for a drink you can make yourself anyway. Most of them are really really worth it I had the Skinny Dip once and it was pretty tasty. The Liquid Yoga, however, is pretty gross, in spite of its appealing name.)
