Article stub on ice-canoeing, the one big sporting competition of the winter Carnaval. They basically have a race, crossing the St. Lawrence by canoe by teams of 5. The St.L is over a mile wide at that juncture. It's pretty fucking crazy.
One of my uncles did something just a little less crazy during the Carnaval, he was into ice auto-racing... One year he made the front page of the paper by rolling his Renault 5 over. Hehehe.
I miss the Carnaval. Last time I went it was crazy fucking cold. This year I will actually use reading week to read. How quaint.
