Tim Wise is a white anti-racist activist with bite... I really like his pieces. His most recent one is Collateral Damage: Poor Whites and the Unintended Consequences of Racial Privilege and here's his biography.

The wave started a bit early, in BC, but by February, all of the premiers and PM of the 90s will be gone, except for Ralph Klein, who's heart attack I am eagerly waiting for (just kidding. Albertans would elect a similar SOB anyway), and the most influential changes will have happened this year. This last year and a half have also seen all federal political parties switch their leaders. Liberals not only rule federally, but also provincially over the three most populous provinces, including Québec. Should Martin call an election next spring, what might start as a 5-party parliament might end up reduced to a quasi 3-party parliament, with the PC merged with the alliance, and the Bloc nearly vanquished in Québec.

All this stuff keeps me thoroughly entertained. While I'm not sure this will lead to much positive change (except in Ontario), I'm sure that there will be some interesting clashes to analyze...
