Politically incorrect as it may be, leather. there's just something about the SMELL. I really like knives, too, so I guess I'm just old skool.

I had my hair short last in Jan. 2005. I havent cut it since... so my hair has become this length in 16 months which I guess is pretty quick. Also, I am a big fan of Against All Authority.

2. Blah, stupid question and I'm tired of making up stuff.
3. A short film!
4. I want to read that Tom Shakespeare book again hehe.
5. Going to your parents' place for your christmas meet... Probably in 1997.
6. Are you putting a length or time cap for when your novel will be done?

>1. Your stubborness to move ahead.

I think perhaps I simply have a short attention span... staying put makes me antsy.

>3. A short film!

Hell yea.
Not sure of what though... that's always been the greatest stumbling block of my prospective filmmaking.

>4. I want to read that Tom Shakespeare book again hehe.

hehe, I don't know. Given the outcome the last time that book was loaned out, I'm wondering if it should be stamped with a surgeon general's warning. ;)

>6. Are you putting a length or time cap for when your novel will be done?

Before I die? It took Tolkien 20 years to write LoTR... I'm only at 10 so I can't be in that bad shape... But soon I hope.

It's hard to explain since so much of it is locked inside my head, but it's much closer now than it has ever been... a lot of problems that were tripping me up plot-wise have finally been resolved to my satisfaction... previous outlines I've written contained a great deal of "and something-something happens here which leads to"... or there were pieces where I felt that the emotional balance was off... that the plot had slipped into some slow bit of quagmire when it should feel urgent... all this 'story-filler' because I didn't have a firm enough grasp on the characters to know how to push their buttons and create the necessary conflict... that kind of stuff is now being resolved at a steady pace... there are still some mechanical issues that I will need to research... how does one lay siege to a fortified city, the exact ingredients of medieval-age explosives, certain geographical details for their journeys along the way... but at least with that kind of thing I know what it is I'm looking for as opposed to floundering around in the dark.
