Take my Bisexual Husband— Please:

Last week, the NYT ran an article called "Straight, Gay, or Lying?" about a new "scientific study" ... please use a hushed tone... that proves that although some men may call themselves bisexual, they're just a bunch of self-deluding ho-ho-homosexuals!

I have to say, that as soon as I made it half-way down the page, I snorted. Are these the same "scientists" who are fighting evolution in Kansas? The whole premise and procedure of this study wouldn't pass muster in a grade school science fair. —Yeah right, there's no such thing as human bisexuality— it's all done with mirrors and strategic press releases. This is one of those instances where you take Mr. Survey aside to a quiet room, and putting your arm around his shoulder, whisper, "You don't get out much, do you?"

She doesn't actually make much of a case, but I haven't read the study either, which may speak for itself. I'll check this out later.

I read that!

The study basically consisted of scientists analyzing both physical arousal levels and, I think, brain activity for various subjects. They found that men describing themselves as "bisexual" nonetheless in every case showed either the same level of arousal to either men or women as men describing themselves as "gay" or "straight."

But, as the article was quick to point out, this still does not prove bisexuality does not exist, merely that perhaps as far as sexual arousal goes, in men only, there may not be any physiological evidence to show that men can be sexually attracted to both sexes equally.

Of course, I could care less whether there is evidence or not, as there is also no scientific evidence that women can enjoy anal sex as I recall, and I know women who love anal sex.

Oh no, it was worse than that. They measured "arousal" through electrodes placed on the genitalia during watching porn.

But you see, porn is not actual people you like. Porn is titilating images.

And given that men are generally very visual, arousal to porn can't prove shit.

And like Bright said, like, WHAT porn? Did they show women "lesbian" porn found in porn stores? aHehAEHaHEhaeha

There's a FAIR action alert (http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=2573) on it.
