DreamWidth, my future retirement home

Back in the heyday of LJ, I think it was fair to assume that most people posting on there were in their 20s, give or take 10 years. It's amusing as I've returned to DW in the last couple years that I'm still assuming by default that people on here are Young, even though most my DW friends are in my age cohort (40s+). I've seen a couple posts in recent days that have reminded me that DW isn't really a popular social media platform with the young'uns anymore and that most of us here are not babies. Even when I intellectually know that people here ont du vécu, as we say in French, it's amusing to see posts where people remind me that they are in an age range that is older than what I was assuming, even when they had posted selfies.

Cheers to DreamWidth, may it last forever. May we keep on making new friends here. And bless younger people joining up as well. :)
