It's funny because I "never know" what to post here/I often think of posting to Facebook first, where I don't really post about personal stuff anyway, but two friends have been maintaining pandemic diaries and I have been posting in their comments there? So huh I should not neglect this place. This is from Liz-from-Infiltration's wall:

I'm doing water retention in one foot. One page I consulted days ago said if I had this in only one foot, GO TO HOSPITAL RIGHT AWAY but I didn't. I still have water retention over a week later, still just in one foot, and yesterday it was more painful than sore, so today I tele-consulted. I've got a script for bloodwork and some doppler ultrasound, which will have to be taken in different places. The doctor did say to go to emerg if the swelling worked it way up the leg and/or I also have chest pain.

I know the main problem is that I have been doing ZERO exercise for the last three months, and the three months before that, but I have been even more immobile through this lockdown, sitting at this desk 12-15 hours a day... (At least before that I had started commuting by bike!) Even though I have a thick cushion on it, my chair is also still an inch or two too short for my legs to be fully stretched at rest. I think the problem started at some point when I suddenly got some MASSIVE pain in my left leg while doing nothing at all. It went away but the muscle was sore for days, specifically when going downstairs (I live in a fourth floor unit). Even just going down to watering the garden has been an improvement in my exercise routine... I had to go pick up the test "scrips" from the Doc's office so I went biking on multiple errands, which felt really good.

What I need is to go to bed at midnight, get up at 7:something, and go for exercise (bike ride, or maybe a dreaded run) before it gets stupidly hot...
