Apr. 19th, 2005 03:29 amI was walking towards Krishna's to get rice today in Koreatown, and I passed by a new gift shop that had the following sign, printed on paper, on its glass door:
JAPANESE NOT ALLOWED.
and what I guess was the translation in either Chinese or Korean below. I seem to remember that it was Chinese characters, but being in Koreatown, that seems a bit unlikely. However, the current anti-Japanese unrest is in China right now.
Either way, it's pretty stupid. If it's still there tomorrow, I'll take pictures and ask the staff person there about it, firmly but politely. We'll see what happens.
