We went to see Das Ich on Sunday night. I actually had to go to the bar straight after stepping off the train from Montréal (where I had gone to to assist to the NDP Québec section's congress). They're an EBM band with industrial overtones. They are really good entertainers. The guy with the mohawk had his skin painted black and was gesticulating in a particularly crazed way. His voice is quite intense. Singing in German helps too... The interesting thing is that, contrary to the lame gothy/ebm band that played the "depressed" game before them, Das Ich were completly upbeat, having a lot of fun and playing with the audience. People were actually dancing or at least physically showing their enthusiasm. Pretty damn good for Toronto.
