9) QUEEN STREET ALLEYS ~ Check out the new work
The alleyways on Queen West (from Spadina to Portland, south side) were re-painted by dozens of graffiti artists this weekend as part of "Style in Progress", the largest graffiti and hip hop jam in Canada. Proponents of the "Broken Window Theory" were shocked to hear that there was no increase in crime in the area, nor did any gang-related murders take place during the event. It seems that graffiti artists are just....artists.
Take a walk through Toronto's largest outdoor art gallery. Open 24 hours a day. Free. All ages.
I'm missing the Graffiti Expo happening this weekend, but now knowing that the Queen St. alley has been repainted, I will surely drop by some time soon to check it out. It's always full of really amazing graffiti...
No, this isn't Sleena. 8)
