I was around for the LJ-being-sold-off-and-sold-again-to-the-Russians debacle - like, not working for them, but participating on LJ and watching the rise of Russian LJ'ers, the decline of services, and finally freaking and heading here. I knew it sucked, but I didn't know how badly it sucked for the Russians! That's terrible.

Yeah, I didn't know about the deanonymization stuff and consequences. I created an account here early but I think I stop syncing and closed my LJ account around the time of the homophobic TOS changes.

I migrated everything and then stopped posting on LJ, but I didnt cancel my account because, well, it is the only place where I can still go back and read journals from some friends who died.

The homophobic TOS was also the reason why I finally closed up my lj.

(i did actually agree to the TOS so I could get my shit and leave, but i still feel bad that I did that)
