reading wednesday: whale weekly

I subscribe to an unfathomable amount of mailing lists and I just let these emails get ignored in some of Gmail's judiciously choosen themed tabs. So when I subscribed to Whale Weekly, first I thought, what am I doing, I want to read this from the start. But frankly, I am not going to read this from the start unless I'm bed-stricken, and this mailing list drip works, so when I chanced upon one of the weekly missives recently as I was randomly digging in another folder, I moved the default destination to my social folder, where my DW notifications go. A folder which I am sure to look at and try to drain regularly. So here I am, with this week's late Whale Weekly.

Holy cow this starts with fire!

Anyway I won't quote the rest; I was already getting a sense of what I was getting into by all of [personal profile] sabotabby's arm-flailing about it, but I still wasn't ready for this baroque stuff!!!

Edited for clarity.
