Hahahaha, good thing I looked at the user comments for my return-flight amsterdam hostel... "This place isn't a hostel, it's a christian internment camp" gives you an idea of some of the comments, although many people didn't seem bored by that part.

If it's the hostel I stayed at, it's hilarious!

* huge JESUS SAVES mural
* cleancut Christian youth who pretend to be hip fellow travellers, but invite you to just come check out the bible study group, cuz it seems kinda cool, man
* exit the building and take your first two lefts. you will soon discover one of those brothels with the women standing around in the windows in their underwear!

Dude. I walked right by the hostel without stopping. Actually, I also walked right by the whole red light district without stopping (albeit twice, just for good measure) but... The flesh is weak. You know what it's going to be, but when you get there, it's totally surreal. Same as the Van Gogh museum, but in a totally different register. Thank god I fell in for Vincent rather than Anastasia.
