What do you people use pencil blowtorches for? They're 70% off at Canadian Tire but if I buy one, I need to justify its existence...

Creme brulee, broiling vegetables to give them a nice deep caramel flavour.

i bought an acetylene torch a little while ago and it has served me really well. you really dont have to justify its existence.

lighting candles, attaching candles to candle holders, various cooking tasks, some craft tasks...

you need to justify it's existence?! no way! who cares about justification? buy one anyway! i mean, it's a tiny blowtorch! how can you not?

Hahaha. I like your attitude. I'm just trying to cut on frivolous spending. I guess if I can figure a reason to go to Canadian Tire, I'll get one.

therein lies the problem!

the only canadian tires that i know that are anywhere near downtown are at lawrence west station, in leaside, or at st clair & keele. not exactly convenient...even for a pencil blowtorch. sigh.

There's one on Yonge, south of Rosedale station, and it's two floors high. My partner met a long-lost friend from Edmonton there, so it is an auspicious place. =)
