(no subject)

A thread I started on babble about what should be the NDP's strategy in Québec. Laura Colella, one of our most promising candidates, kinda disagrees with me. (I have not identified myself as a former candidate in that forum, and would wish to remain that way.)

Is there a genetic condition that makes conservatives automatically hypocrits?

Man of Iranian descent is leader of racist group that wants only "Euro-British" immigrants in Canada to bolster "British culture". Obviously, Québécois culture doesn't exist in this country, and the guy should move to Britain if he wants British culture. I hear they let Iranians in too.

I take it you have no plans to run again...?

Yes, but not in this election. One election per degree is enough. =)

Also, running without any tangible support (there were 4 NDP members in my riding, I got two volunteers, including one that became a candidate in a neighbouring riding) was a very depressing experience. That's kinda why I didn't post much about it on tabnet :/ So my goal right now is to work (like, paid work) on a large campaign to get to see how "the machine" works. It's just that this year, I'll be in Québec City for Christmas even that isn't really going to happen, plus end of semester and stuff. My cousin's boyfriend is running in Québec City so I'll go canvassing for him, to give HIM support in loneliness. =)

Fair enough.

Yeah. I read the part about "pour aider un de mes amis dans Limoilou-Beauport." and was wondering if that was an oblique reference to yourself, and they'd renamed / redrawn the Charlesbourg boundaries. Until I looked it up on ndp.ca and discovered that wasn't the case :-)
