I woke up to Bret Stephens flashing his tits for War Crimes and a local Kurdish leader berating people for supporting Palestinians because they took Saddam's help when he was the only one helping, and they've been used by other islamists against Kurds for their own purposes, so I've turned into a screaming banshee on social media. How's your morning going?

There will be at least 6 more months of this war.

On the cheerier side, comrades have blocked access to Canada's weapons fair this morning.

Hummm I don't know what you're saying here, (are you finding the Bretbug compelling??) but we can oppose Hamas and not firebomb innocent children and an entire statelet's civilian infrastructure at the same time. It's really not difficult! You have to go out of your way to commit systematic war crimes, especially when you don't manuyfacture the weapons to do so yourself!

ISIS is now contained to the Syrian and Iraqi hinterland, thanks to the Kurds of the SDF and the Iraqi army these days (probably along with some Hash'd al-Shaabi), with help from American trainers and air power.

So the Kurds might actually know what they're talking about, rather than armchair critique. Actually think Netanyahu has no idea what he's doing, but that doesn't justify Hama's actions. They are quite happy to have "innocent people being bombed," as clearly getting them sympathy. You don't see them coming out in the open, they're using them as human shields.

BTW, I don't know what "flashing his tits" means in any real terms, other than saying you disagree with him, and if you say it as rudely as possible, you feel it adds strength to your argument.

Hey, I'm not justifying Hamas' actions. I think their offensive was the stupidest thing they could could have done. They would have been on stronger moral/int'l legal standing if they had only targeted soldiers, but either way it was guaranteed that the response would have been overwhelmingly negative. It is telling that they did not consult their allies before doing their Oct. 7 attack. Hassan Nasrallah would have told them that if they had known what the reaction to their own operation would have been in 2006, they would never have gone ahead with it. Sinwar has been quoted as telling hostages not to worry, that they would be going home soon. I really think he thought he would just parlay this kidnapping into a run of the mill trade. As if the Gilad Shalit trade hadn't taken 1000+ days. Instead the entire Gaza strip has been demolished for the next 10+ years, on top of the obvious victims. And the worst part is that because Hamas "has not been defeated", many are trying to paint this as a victory for the party. What a victory!! Great defense of Palestinians!

The worst part now for Palestinians with regards to Netanyahu's intransigence is that if one of his primary motivators was to avoid Israeli courts and jail, now he is doubly motivated to stay in power thanks to the coming indictments of the ICC. It's a devil of a pickle, along with Biden's insistence to deliver the election to Trump.

Regarding Kurds, this guy is basically conflating the victims of Israel's assault with other Palestinians who have committed crimes against Kurds. I don't think it takes a degree on middle eastern history to be able to criticize that stance.

As for the tits, it's a reference to the woman who cheerfully exhibited herself on the Dublin-New York portal, both in terms of exuberance and breaking of social norms.
