They left with legal papers, hundreds of computer diskettes, family photo albums, dozens of video cassettes, the personal computer of Harkat's wife, her address books, her daily planner and the archives of seven years of Harkat's defence.

How are you supposed to get a fair defense when cops take your entire documentation away?
